The whole idea behind the accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 was to provide the same level of expertise and traceability as is given to the tools and instruments used in all other sectors of manufacturing etc.

Traceability of documentation, standards and equipment used, plus written procedures and work instruction for each tool calibrated or repaired and complete systemic compliance for empirical and historical data. Until now, there never has been an "accredited" Calibration Service predicated solely on a specific industry like Telecommunications.

The wording in our accreditation covers that philosophy and scope of Calibration. Previous Industry Problems Tools previously were calibrated through a general mechanical calibration service that did not specialize in these Tools. Therefore, they did not prioritize them or treat them as they would precision or super-precision Tools. At best the Tools were treated like unwanted stepchildren and at worst they received a "casual glance" or a "well it looks OK to me" calibration-type service.

There were also problems with turnaround. For example, if the client wanted turnaround as needed for this industry, the service provider would charge an expedite fee above the Calibration charge and in many cases the turnaround was still not quick enough.

Beyond all this, there was no set pricing because there were no definite process controls for the tools. Whoever calibrated the tools charged whatever the client would bear.

We at the OEL Sales Company believed that this previous system was unreliable and unfair to you our loyal customers. More problems... There were no written calibration procedures or work instructions for these Tools. Therefore, anything that a service did was OK. Cyclic frequency for recalibration was not formalized or regulated.

But we have changed all of that and are now giving this industry a dedicated, unique, specific service which will meet or exceed their needs and expectations.

Where there were no guidelines we now have written them so that there is consistency in Calibration with written documentation. You can know what was actually done to the Tool and you can know what you paid for.

We have established "cyclic frequency" with data to substantiate our claims. Turnaround Time is Critical so we "prioritize" every order for immediate or max of three day turnaround from receipt of your Tools with no "expedite charge." We understand that no down time is critical to your installation projects.

And as additional service, we provide general cleaning and maintenance for all of your Tools and do repairs as required. Furthermore, we strive to give each Tool back in an "as new" looking condition.
